These freedoms are very important for an indi- vidual to maintain his or her dignity and pursue their own meaningful, happy life. another important kind of freedom is equivalent to the political rights of citizens − an expression of the prin- ciple of people ́s sovereignty, such as the right to vote or to be elected. The state shall help its citizens to practice their freedom of participation in political and public affairs. I wish my country, the people’s republic of China, would respect, protect and promote these two kinds of freedom.
